Musical Inspiration

My all time newly favorite bands are my biggest inspiration when it comes to my personal style. When I listen to their music I get a grunge-y rocker edgy kick-ass chick vibe that inspires me to wear as much black as possible and to buy as many different types of boots that I can. the Arctic Monkeys AM Album is the piece that inspires me the most. I'm in love with their old style  indie rock sound that makes me want to hook up with someone and dance around my house in my underwear and socks (not at the same time). Music plays a huge role in the way I dress because whoever I'm listening to influences my mood and I transform into a different person. If you haven't listen to either of these bands I STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU DO SO IMMEDIATELY. Yes, they're that good. 

Black and White

Black and white is simple yet perfect in every single way possible. This outfit was so unbelievable comfortable I can't wait until I can wear it again. I got the shirt form Wet Seal, the leggings are from Victoria's Secret, and the necklace and shoes are from Forever 21 (my favorite store if you haven't already guessed that). I wore this quite a while ago actually but I decided to start posting all of my outfits that were already on my Instagram (@shadesofagoldensea). I hope you enjoy! Hardcore Girly

I literally had absolutely no intention of wearing my Mock Trial sweatshirt after I thought of this outfit. I really love my new leather shorts from H&M! They are perfection. And this shirt...finally I have something to wear it with. You might not be able to tell in the picture but its has a weird zebra print pattern that I didn't notice when I bought it from Forever 21 last year. Believe me when I say that nothing goes with this stupid thing. I love the silhouette but it just doesn't match the majority of the items in my wardrobe well because a) it's pink and b) it's zebra. Finally it actually looks good with these shorts and opaque tights. *sigh* I've done well.

 

Vicious and Vampy

This fall I'm loving the dark vampy look. Maroons, blacks, and browns make up the majority of my autumn/winter wardrobe. This oversized sweater is actually borrowed (a.k.a. stolen lol) from my dad's closet. With the sweater I'm wearing opaque tights from target ($8) with black booties from Forever 21 (far right second photo, $42.00). The spiral earrings are my mom's and the gem ring is from Charlotte Russe ($4.50). On my lips I made my own Dark Vampy lip color by combining a bright red lip pencil with a berry red lipstick and a black lipstick. I finished it off with a simple red lipgloss. New video!

Hooray! I finally put up my first new video on my new channel! It's a little rough since its the first but it's still amazingly legit and you all should definitely check it out. This is just a basic haul video of all my fall clothes with a little bit of summer. Loathes as well since where I live falls can be pretty warm. Hey lovelies! I'm so very worry that I haven't even really started to get this blog up and running. It takes a lot of planning and thinking to get the perfect picture and the right thing to say. Right now I'm in the middle of filling out college apps so I literally have zero free time :( but I just wanted to let anyone whose reading this know that I have an Instagram that gets updated almost daily.
